Week Twenty : Part One

we were able to complete the autonomous challenge . we were able to make the robot go around the chairs 2 cycles .we are now working on the controller and arm .

Due to EOC, FSA , AP , Super Tuesday and Wednesday testing days , the programing of our robot has been interupt alot , but believe we will be able to finish soon.

Week Eighteen : Part Two

I have been collecting the robotc codes for the squarebot arm and controller functions . when we complete the SquareBot Autonomous Challenge we will be able to screw on the arm and program it immediately .

Week Eighteen : Part One

Alex programed the robot for the SquareBot Autonomous , she has been working on it for awhile and is able to make it go around the chairs once. We are now turnig to get it to go around 2 times.

Week Seventeen : Part Two

The robot is still having trouble turning so i inspected it . I discovered that screws that secure the motors were loose and would wobble while in operation so i tightened it .

Week Seventeen : Part One

While alex programs the robot i adjust and make improvements to the arm. so when we finish the challenge we can just screw the arm on .

Week Sixteen : Part Two

The wheel our the right side wobbles so i switched the wheel , i tightened all the screws on the robot because they would fall off when in operation.

Week Sixteen : Part One

We are countiuning to work on atuomouus . We are are able to make in go straight and turn right. our has to problem turning , we belevie that it might be due to the wheels.

Week Fifteen: Part Two

the first tetra challenge is to put three tetrra on the tubes in 1 minute . The second challenge is to do it with in a certain area. So I made my arms length adjustable

I can manually adjust the length with a handle on the top of the arm.

Week Fifteen: Part One

this week we created a sample tetra trianlge so that we can practice the challenge with and learn how to create the triangle itself then we will create the ones we will actually use for the challenge.we have also been working to create the arm. so far we have a sample arm that we will improve so it will work at its best and most efficency.

Week Fourteen: Part Two

the majority of this week has been made up of brainstorming ideas for the arm and programming the robot to move on its own for the previous challenge. so far programming the robot to move on its own has been simple all we need to do now is to give it exact instruction in where and how to move around so that the challenge will be done. we are at the same time working on the arm and perfecting it.

Week Fourteen: Part One

this week we were in the process of perfecting the structure of the arm for the challenge. we've been brainstorming new ideas to make it better and work more efficient.we have been coming up with better ideas in how to make the hook work better and extend it to make the task easier and quicker.so far our ideas have improved our build but we still have to make it work well along with the robot.

Week Thirteen: Part Two

what we have done for the week is to build the arm for the new challenge and attach it to the robot and see how it would work. while we do that we are still trying to fix bugs in the program to work the robot and in the robot itself.so far the arm has come along well but we still have the challenge to do and a robot to work.

Week Thirteen: Part One

this week we have finally gotten a brain and controller that both work well for us and have the robot working to where it is supposed to on a manual setting. now that we have our robot working we can move on to the next assignment that has been given to us which is to build a arm or something similar to get triangles that we will make on to the challenge which is to place the triangles on the poles in the picture for points.  

Week Twelve: Part Two

we have now found the part that are working for our robot and are allowing it to move manually.now that we have started to have it work  now all we have to do it test it out. then we will program it to work automatically

Week Twelve: Part One

we are still in the process of testing the controllers and brains to see which ones will work.we have been testing the robot manually to see which parts would make it move and have it work correctly. so far we have made a bit of progress but we are still trying to figure out exactly what the problem is.

Week 11: Part Two

we have now found out that our controller also had a problem and we need to change it for new one and re-program it. we have encountered multiple problems with these older parts but are working hard to fix them as fast as we can. what we have left to do is to fix the problems we have encountered the test the robot itself.

Week 11: Part One

this week we have been set back a bit due to a faulty brain that we had to change in order to move forward. once we find another part that will work we will continue on. till we find that brain we will be testing the brains that are left over till they work.

Week Ten: Part Two

the end of this week consisted of us learning how to work the ROBOTC program and all the tips and tricks on our own. the program is difficult to  maneuver , but with the help the originators we are getting the hang of it . and soon this challenge

Week Ten: Part One

this week we have finished most of our squarebot. all we need now is to get ties for the battery packs then the robot will be completely done. till then we have started to learn how to use the program that will code the robot so that it may perform the task we are given to make it do.

Week Nine: Part Two

so far we have come far in building the robot we are close to finishing it. all we have to do is fix some minor issues then we will be on our way to getting the robot itself to work and do what it has to do.the image below is what the robot looks like so far.

Week Nine: Part One

now that we have had a few days of organizing spare parts we have finally been given the task to build our robot. what we will do first is gather all the necessary part to begin building then we will get the instructions and start from there. hopefully this task wont take up much time so that we may make up for lost time.

Week Eight: Part Two

now that our teacher has check our squarebot and apporved it we have been given the task of organizing spare parts that are used for the robot. once he determines that we have organized enough he will allow us to continue building the squarebot it self.

Week Eight: Part One

we have finally finished our squarebot on solidworks. after a few difficulties we finally accomplished our first task of the project. now all we have to do is have our teacher check it then we will move on to building the squarebot itself.  

Week Seven: Part Two

once we finish the squarebot will will present it to the teacher. After we present the squarebot we will have to start building it.but before we start building we will first find the parts we need for each part of the robot we assign for the individual person then commence to building the actual robot.

Week Seven: Part One

this week we have progress further then before with the squarebot. Now we just have to finish a few more problems in the build itself then we will be closer to being done.once we fix what we have to fix in our squarebot build then we will be moving on to actually building it

Week 6: Part Two

since the start of this week began with us having to redo our entire squarebot due to problems we have been trying to finish it as quickly as possible. we still have come across a few problems here and there but we are trying to pull through. hopefully by the end of this week will will be finished with the squarebot 

Week 6: Part One

this week we came across a few problems with our squarebot which in end made use have to start from the beginning. the problems we encountered were mating problems in a few of the parts and we had to re do all over again. now we have started over and are trying to make haste to make it to start building our actual robot.

Week Five: Part Two

on the final day to do the square bot this is the furthest we have gotten this week it may not be that far but we tried what we could in the time we had.

WEEK 5

week 5 is the continuation of building the square bot from the vex website. Due to the fact that we haven't worked with soildworks since the past year we have come across a few problems in remember all the tips and trick to working with the program and build an assembly smoothly.but we have tried to readjust the best we can in the given time that we have had and go as far as we have in the past few days.

WEEK 4

this week we have been given the assignment of making a squarebot.We must use the VEX Website and follow the websites instructions in how to build the robot and use solidworks to build the squarebot. We haven't used solidworks since the past year in Engineering I so it was a small bit of a readjustment to get used to but we have gotten a hang of it so far.

WEEK FOUR PART 2

we have recently started our assignment in building squarebot that we must follow the instructions on from the vex website. like said before we haven't used to solidworks program in a while so it is taking some getting back used to. so far this assignment is one of the more complex solid works but we can get it sooner or later.

Week Three: Part Two

Before we build our robot we have to learn what we are going to use in the process of making said robots.we have to learn where we will get the parts to create the robots and what they are and what they do.once we learn what the parts are and where to get them we will commence in building the robots on the computers

Week Three

Today we will be starting to build our robots for the week. So we have to come up with ideas for what we will do with our robot then we will draw up a sketch for how the robot will look and how it will preform the needed functions.Once that is done we will create the robot in solidworks then we will actually build it.  

Week Two: Part Two

the rest of this week was made up of us using the parts we went over on the vex website and using them for our newest segment of the assignment we currently have. right now what we have to do is find the needed parts to build a squarebot. first we have to find the guide then the parts then we will move on to building the robot it self in solid works.

Week Two begins

this week the class went over the basic of how to navigate around all of the websites and guides we will need to build our robots and the part we will use and how they work. all the links that we will use to build our robots are found in the SPHS engineering website  through the VEX robotics tab, that contains guides, forms, robot galleries, and most important safety rules for when building a robot. 

Week One: Part Two

this week our assignment was to learn our way around this website and how it works. so far we have been coming up with ideas on how to customize the website to fit our group. we have came up with a bit out there ideas for what to put on the blog but its all a process.

Week One

week one we are going over what we will need to do in order to build our robots. before we start building robots we will be doing this blogging what we are doing every week to contribute to the project. so this week we are just learn our way through making a blog and learn about robot building.
